Financial scammer Marcus E. Beverly - Bev Tech, and BT3

Marcus Beverly – Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Now that there are more and more people finding out about Marcus, more victims are coming forward telling some extremely disturbing tales about Marcus and his brothers, Kael and Taveras. One element to all of the stories of the Beverly’s scams is the way that they feature Christianity. Victims report being so taken with their charm and their “commitment” to their faith. The Beverly’s flaunt their Christian faith as it has become pivotal to their sales pitch and grift. It is disturbing the ease with which this family uses religion to disarm and charm their victims. Marcus Beverly uses this tactic to fill his credibility gap where he may not necessarily know how to explain the why or the how, he has the perfect bible verse and parable to win his “customer” over. Marcus Beverly has been sued multiple times from everyone from Navy Federal and Bank of America to class action lawsuits filed on behalf of his victims. Unfortunately for Marcus, the bible quotes and Christian charm don’t seem to be winning over judges nor juries after they hear about how horribly he works over his victims.

One of the most horrifying stories about the Beverlys has to do with how he groomed a young “client” to utilize their credit to give to Marcus. The unnamed source credited Marcus’s Christian testimonials as well as his paternal preaching as the prime reason that he decided to work with Marcus. Marcus proceeded to fleece his victim for $25,000 in credit cards and loans. Once the loans were taken, as has been the case for so many other Beverly victims, Marcus disappeared. The unnamed victim even shared that they had reached out to Kael and Marcus’s wife, Masayo, to see if they could help them get in contact with Marcus. Kael, in his Christian glory, rather than helping the victim with locating Marcus preached “turn the other cheek” all but selling them on rolling over. Masayo, Marcus’s wife, pretended like she doesn’t speak English. No one seems to know where Marcus is once the grift has been executed. The grift is a family affair.

The Beverlys have gotten far making people believe that they are good people. The Christian façade that they sell is impressive. All of the Beverlys seem to have this talent of memorizing Bible quotes, phrases, and terms. They know how to use it whenever they need to fill that credibility gap. They have no idea what they are talking about in their presentations and sales – but they no how to charm their victims and make them forget about any apprehensions or concerns.
